How to Take Care of Your Geraniums

I don't know about all of you, but for Mother's Day I usually get some flowers. Geraniums to be exact. Here is some basic pointers to keep them healthy and blooming all summer.

Geraniums need full sun (about 6 hours a day) and good drainage.
They also like a fertilzer that has a high middle number (like 12-55-6). That means it has high phosphorus, which helps with flowering. Water them regularly, drier soil is ok, but they won't flower as much. Deadhead flowers (cut off the old dry flowers) down to the nearest leaves. This will allow for new flower growth.

Happy gardening!
